My Per “Dead” Ohlin story is over at Blue Fifth Review’s new Blue Collection issue

I wrote about the black metal singer/songwriter Per “Dead” Ohlin for Blue Fifth Review’s year-end Blue Collection 7 issue. In particular, about Ohlin’s last day and the last song and last letter he wrote.

Ohlin was the lead singer for the band Mayhem, but the gig was short-lived. When he was 22 he shot and killed himself. His is an intriguing story and maybe this story can be a jumping off point for readers to learn more about this talented and tragic young man.

I’m always excited and happy to be part of Blue Fifth Review’s Blue Collection collaboration. This one is filled with some amazing work, all of it taking other forms of art and working with it in written form. I’ve always found it a fun exercise. So head on over and give the issue a read. Thanks in advance for the interest.
